RENOWNED
ARTISTS, STRONG ORGANISERS, A WELL-KNOWN PLOT, DEDICATED PARTNERS – THE
BASIS FOR A SUCCESSFUL PRODUCTION
In the international art world Mpumelelo
Paul Grootboom is considered as a young Black African shooting
star.
Because of his film-like method he’s called the “Township
Tarantino” in his home country. His productions are invited to
renowned festivals such as Kunsten Festival des Arts / Belgium, Edinburgh
Festival / UK, Wiener Festwochen / Austria or Zürcher Theater
Spektakel / Switzerland and achieve big success among both audience
and press.

Pink zebra theatre and director peter fuxx stand for young and critical
theatre beyond the glossy cultural industry. Their committed projects
challenge people to a discourse. Diversity in languages and ways
of expression from various civilisations and genres are an important
component of their artistic work. Pink zebra theatre has developed
a large core audience due to its top-quality work; all performances
use to be attended above average. The audience is open-minded, critical,
curious and interested in global issues.
Vienna’s ImPulsTanz Festival is one of the biggest dance & performance
festivals worldwide. In 2008, almost 100.000 people attended 45 performances
in Vienna’s best theatres, from Burgtheater to Museumsquartier.
Our organising partners in South Africa, the Market Theatre / Johannesburg
and the South African State Theatre in Pretoria / Tshwane, are considered
as the biggest and most important theatres in Southern Africa.

Mother Courage and her children by Bertolt Brecht is counted among
the most significant works in world literature.
The combination of the well known plot, the reputation of the artists
and the powerful organisers provides the basis for a successful production.
For its implementation, the project is looking for dedicated economical
partners, who wish to present their cultural and societal commitment
to a broad public.
